Mission

  • To provide brides and grooms with a network of socially and environmentally responsible wedding vendors, professionals, and resources.
  • To host events and expos that bring together members of the network and offer members and opportunity to network with interested couples. 
  • To reduce the environmental impact and maximize local economic impact of weddings.
  • To pave the way towards a sustainable wedding industry.

 

Internship

Looking for a bright and talented intern interested in getting involved with the Sustainable Wedding Collective from the ground up. Must have a background in Sustainability, and preferably Sustainable Business Strategy. Specific tasks and projects will include...

  • Develop language for the mission statement, content for website, and surveys for potential members
  • Establish social networking and a blog, start posting and build language
  • Solicit interest from nonprofit, corporate and potential members
  • Create a marketing plan and conduct market research
  • Plan and execute a launch party for spring or summer

 

Start Date: ASAP (Spring 2012 or Summer 2012)

 

Compensation: Unpaid. Letter of recommendation. Good networking opportunities.
