We have received more compliments on the photographs of our wedding than any other aspect of the day! Nikolai shot our engagement pictures a month or two before our wedding; we were immediately impressed with how down to earth he was and how comfortable he made us feel in front of the camera, in spite of how nervous we were on the way to meet with him!

Avi and Nikolai did such a wonderful job! We were so impressed and are thrilled to have such amazing pictures to remember our fabulous wedding day. Avi and Nikolia made everything so easy. We live in Cali and had so much to think about planning a wedding cross country...Avi and Nikolia made us feel so relaxed and took charge and we did not have to worry about a thing. They even offered to do engagement shots and since Brett and I were not going to be in Philly together before the wedding, Avi came and took shots at my shower. Our wedding day was perfect and it is so much fun to relive so many of the special moments through our photos.

Avi was great with my family. She worked to accommodate a large family, bad weather, and various positions. Avi was also great with three little kids under the age 2.5 who were either unhappy or tired. She cheered him up them up or helped calm them down. It's so important for the Photographer and DJ to get along and work together and Avi is very efficient, very organized, a team player and was easy to work with. You may remember years (hours) ago when I wrote the engagement photo post. Remember, it was that post when you went “Holy shit, Hemingway is still alive? This is the writing of a literary god!” This one. THAT’S THE PHOTOGRAPHER WHO MANAGED TO MAKE IT NOT SUCK! Not only does she not make the experience suck, the pictures are awesome. As my fiancee says “I’m settling for you” but as she says in relation to Avi “These are the only good pictures of me”. Leaving aside the self-esteem therapy for another day, everyone should have that feeling. Even I look good in Avi’s pictures, even though in real life I look like Nicholas Cage if he had been cast in the lead role of Twilight. Avi was the first decision we made for the wedding and we have several of her pictures hanging in our apartment. She’s based out of Philadelphia, but is more than willing to travel.
